Felipe Amorim

Felipe is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of MXF Investments. He has expertise in information technology and financial statement analysis in organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies; and experience in several industries including manufacturing, real estate, entertainment, technology, and financial services.

Prior to founding MXF Investments, Felipe interned at McKinsey & Company in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP for 10 years where he advised clients in the United States and Europe. Additionally, he worked at Peak Capital Partners which is a real estate private equity firm based out of Provo, UT.

Felipe holds an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and a Master and BS in Information Systems from Brigham Young University.

Manoel Amorim

Manoel is the Co-Founder of MXF Investments. He was the CEO of multiple organizations and is a serial entrepreneur. He has expertise in marketing, finance, operations, strategy and business growth.

Manoel began his career at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, OH, where he went from an entry-level position to General Manager in 7 years - one of the fastest career progressions at the firm. He then served as president and CEO of multiple companies such as Telefonica, Globex and Abril Education. His experience also includes founding and growing three startups.

At Abril Education, he acquired 15 different companies with sizes ranging from $1-300MM and took the company public with 80% of the investors coming from the US and Europe.

Manoel has extensive board experience. He has been a director in 15 Boards in 6 different countries. In the US, Manoel was a member of the Board that led Mastercard International’s initial public offering to the New York Stock Exchange. In addition to his corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Manoel has invested in 2 successful US startups as a minority partner and took on the role of mentoring the CEO and founding partner in one of them.

Manoel received several professional awards and recognitions. In the US, he was featured twice in the Miami-based “Latin Trade” magazine as one of the 20 best CEOs in Latin America. He received the “International Executive of the Year Award” from the Marriott School of Business for his contributions to business and society. He was featured in a Harvard Business School case about how he set and executed a new customer-focused and product innovation strategy at Telefonica.

Manoel holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS in Chemical Engineering from IME. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
